Geo Mana crew operating specialist drilling equipment on a constrained geotechnical workface

Specialist subcontract delivery

Specialist capability. Under your lead.

Geo Mana is the crew other contractors bring in for the specialist geotechnical and difficult-access scopes. We supply skilled labour, rope-access crews and defined work-package support, fit your programme, protect your relationships and help get demanding scope off the critical path.

The partner model

Your project stays yours

We are set up to strengthen the lead contractor—not compete for the client, consultant or next package.

P1

Clear reporting lines

One agreed contact, your communication structure and no side-channel decisions with stakeholders.

P2

Site-system fit

Inductions, RAMS, programme, permits, hold points and daily records align to the controls already running on site.

P3

Commercial discretion

Client names, partner logos, project photography and case studies stay private unless publication is explicitly approved.

P4

Low-friction close-out

Field records, installation data and testing information are returned in a form the project team can actually use.

Where we add capacity

Specialties for difficult ground

Professional specialist labour for steep, confined, remote and access-limited workfaces.

01

Rope-access geotechnicians

IRATA-capable crews for workfaces beyond conventional plant, including drilling, mesh, drainage and make-safe scope.

02

Soil-nail and anchor drilling

Drilling and installation to the engineer's design, including shift work and labour support around established plant.

03

Rockfall and facing systems

Rockfall mesh, flexible facing, geocell and restraint systems installed across steep or irregular ground.

04

Ground anchors and testing

Anchor installation, proof-load testing, witnessing and clear test records for the project file.

05

Slope drainage and erosion control

Drainage outlets, surface protection and erosion systems for underslips, cut faces and exposed ground.

06

Urgent make-safe support

Responsive crews for active movement, fallen material and temporary protection while the permanent design is developed.

07

Retaining and wall remediation

Targeted repair, anchoring and access support around existing retaining systems and constrained structures.

08

Shotcrete and facing support

Workface preparation, reinforcement, access and specialist labour supporting designed shotcrete and facing packages.

09

Condition inspections and maintenance

Repeatable inspections, drainage and vegetation work, minor repairs and clear records across slope assets.

Representative recent scope

Proven inside bigger programmes

We have delivered under Downer NZ, Clyde Services and Tough Terrain on NZTA network sites. The scope signals below come from real Geo Mana delivery records; further project and client detail is shared privately where permission allows.

01Live industrial site

Shift-based soil-nail drilling

Specialist labour integrated into an established geotechnical team, with daily reporting and drill records across a multi-week programme.

02Main-contractor programme

1,950 m² geocell facing

A defined facing-mesh scope delivered within a wider anchor and earthworks package, with materials and interfaces coordinated by others.

03Remote underslip

Rope-access drainage installation

A three-person geotechnical rope crew deployed to install drainage where access and accommodation required regional mobilisation.

04Verification scope

Anchor proof-load testing

Independent witnessing, test records and non-conformance capture supplied back to the project team.

Asset care

Keep small defects off the critical path

Ongoing maintenance keeps remediation and stabilisation works effective: slope care, drainage and vegetation, on a plan shaped to the asset rather than a generic subscription. Start with a baseline, then set the frequency to suit the site.

  1. M01
    One-off starting point

    Condition baseline

A structured first inspection covering drainage, vegetation, mesh, fixings, facing and visible ground change, with a photo-coded record and prioritised actions.

  2. M02
    Six or twelve monthly

    Planned slope care

Scheduled inspection plus agreed drainage clearing, vegetation control and minor remedial work, reported back in the format your asset team needs.

  3. M03
    Triggered by event

    Weather response

A pre-agreed route for post-storm inspection, escalation and make-safe advice so the right people can act quickly when conditions change.

Engineered repairs, specialist testing and emergency mobilisation are identified separately when an inspection finds work beyond the agreed maintenance scope.
