A slip, a slumping bank or a cracked driveway is unsettling. Most residential slopes can be stabilised. The important thing is to get it assessed before the next heavy rain. Six signs your slope needs attention
Ground movement usually gives notice before it fails. If you can see any of these around your property, especially after sustained rain, it is worth an assessment.

Cracks in paths or driveways
New or widening cracks in concrete paths, driveways or patios can show the ground beneath them is moving.

Leaning fences or retaining walls
Posts and walls that were vertical and now lean downhill are being pushed by soil pressure behind them.

Water pooling on the slope
Ponding water saturates the soil and adds weight. Saturated ground is a common trigger for slips.

Slumping or bulging soil
A hump, hollow or fresh scarp face in a bank means part of the slope has already moved.

Doors or windows sticking
Frames that suddenly bind can indicate the ground under the foundations is settling unevenly.

Exposed roots or leaning trees
Roots appearing at the surface, or trees starting to tilt, show the soil around them is eroding or creeping downhill.

We visit the site, look at what has moved and why, and tell you plainly whether it is urgent. Where a geotechnical engineer is needed, we work alongside yours or help you engage one.

You get a clear scope and price for the repair: what we will build, how long it takes, and what it involves for your household.

Stabilise
Our crew carries out the work: slip repair, soil nailing, ground anchors, drainage or erosion control as the site requires. Rope access means steep banks rarely need heavy machinery through your garden.

Maintain
We finish with erosion protection and planting where appropriate, and tell you what to watch for. The site is left tidy.

Riddell Road Slope Stabilisation
A foreshore cliff in Glendowie needed stabilising above an existing palisade retaining wall — tight access, undulating ground, and drilling angles that had to thread past the wall's elements. Geo Mana delivered self-drilling soil nails, tensioned MacMat R mesh fixed cleanly into the wall, and horizontal drainage, all from rope access. 1,296.5m of drilling, ~750m² of mesh, 150+ galvanised pins — and every proof-load test passed on the first attempt.

Drainage can block, vegetation can hide change and severe weather can expose new weak points. An ongoing care plan keeps the repair working: slope checks, drainage and vegetation maintenance, shaped to your property rather than a one-size package.

If the slip is an insurance event
Many residential slips follow storms and are handled through EQC and private insurance. We have experience with these repairs and work alongside EQC and insurance processes, providing the site information, scopes and documentation that assessors and engineers ask for. You deal with one crew from make-safe through to the permanent repair.
