Steep volcanic slopes above a major Auckland residential development needed securing against rockfall onto homes and roads below. Geo Mana installed 19,000m² of high-strength rockfall mesh, anchored with rock bolts and cable systems, delivered entirely by rope access and Elevated Work Platforms where machines couldn't reach. Working around occupied homes and an active construction programme, the team kept safe zones in place throughout and finished on programme — eliminating the rockfall risk and supporting Stonefields' continued growth.

What made this difficult
A large-scale residential development at Stonefields needed steep volcanic slopes stabilised to stop rockfall reaching the properties and roads below. Over 19,000m² of slope face required protection. The work had to be delivered around an active construction programme and occupied homes, with tight constraints on access and disruption.
