Retaining & anchored structures
Drilling, anchors, piles and constrained-access construction for retaining systems and wall remediation.
What it does
Retaining work often becomes specialist work when the wall sits below a live property, against unstable ground or beyond normal plant access. Geo Mana undertakes the drilling, pile, anchor, drainage and difficult-access components of engineered retaining systems, and supports wall remediation where existing structures need to be tied back or rebuilt.
Methodology
How the work runs
Every stage is matched to the engineer’s design and the conditions found on the face.
- 01
Confirm interfaces
The structural and geotechnical designs, access constraints and responsibilities between trades are agreed.
- 02
Drill and support
Piles, anchors or nails are installed to the specified setout, depth and testing requirements.
- 03
Build or remediate
Retaining elements, facing and drainage are completed in the sequence needed to keep the excavation and slope stable.
- 04
Record and close out
Installation records, test outcomes and as-built information are supplied for engineering review.

Questions
Common questions
What types of ground stability services do you provide?+
Geo Mana delivers slope stabilisation, slip repair, soil nails, ground anchors, rock bolts, mesh and facing systems, difficult access, retaining remediation, drainage, erosion control, field testing, condition assessment and planned slope maintenance. The right combination depends on the ground, design and access.
How do I know if my property needs slope stabilization?+
Signs like cracks in the soil, leaning retaining walls, surface erosion, or recent slips are indicators of slope instability. If you're unsure, we can conduct a site inspection to assess the risks and recommend the right solution.
What areas of New Zealand do you operate in?+
Geo Mana is based in West Auckland and mobilises across New Zealand. Commercial and specialist crews can deploy nationally; residential work is assessed by scope, access and location.
